Government shares CLTS updates with stakeholders

The Environmental Health and Sanitation Directorate of the Ministry of Water Resources Works and Housing (EHSD-MLGRD) shared updates of the community-led total sanitation (CLTS) at the National Level Learning Alliance Platform (NLLAP) meeting, which took place o Friday, 26th September, 2014 at the Erata Hotel in Accra.

 The Environmental Health and Sanitation Directorate of the Ministry of Water Resources Works and Housing (EHSD-MLGRD) shared updates of the community-led total sanitation (CLTS) at the National Level Learning Alliance Platform (NLLAP) meeting, which took place o Friday, 26th September, 2014 at the Erata Hotel in Accra. This 46th edition of the NLLAP series hosted the EHSD-MLGRD and the Sanitation Knowledge Management Initiative (SKMI) and supported by UNICEF and Canada on the theme, “Scaling up CLTS in Ghana: opportunities and challenges”.

The team shared and discussed the community-led total sanitation (CLTS) scale-up in Ghana progress briefing, some success stories, opportunities and challenges with the implementation. The Government (EHSD) also shared the current cholera updates and obtained stakeholder inputs for accelerated coverage. Participating stakeholders had the opportunity to appreciate the progress made and to contribute in defining the way forward for accelerated CLTS coverage.
