Abstract

The 63rd edition of the National Level Learning Alliance Platform (NLLAP 63) took place on Tuesday 30th May, 2017 at the Coconut Grove Hotel in Accra, under the theme: “Creating a Stronger Non-Market Environment for Small and Medium Scale Sanitation Entrepreneurs (SMEs) in Ghana: The Opportunities and Challenges." The Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP) recently commission a study into small and medium scale sanitation businesses in Kumasi and Accra to understand and identify the opportunities that exists for small and medium scale entrepreneurs and barriers inhibiting their ability to reach low income urban areas with appropriate sanitation products and services. WSUP engaged stakeholders to share the findings and to elicit their perspectives on how to upscale appropriate sanitation products and services to low income urban areas in Ghana.
