Implementing practical transition management for improving access to WASH services and groundwater management: case of Dodowa, Ghana

The Department of Civil Engineering and the Regional Water and Environmental Sanitation Centre Kumasi (RWESCK) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in collaboration Resource Centre Network (RCN) held a workshop on 'implementing practical transition management for improving access to Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (WASH) services and groundwater self-supply'

The purpose of the workshop was to discuss Transition Management application in WASH as a new governance approach to improve access and sustainability of WASH. The following themes were discussed:
1. Research findings on practical Transition Management, case of Dodowa,
2. Application of Transition Management Process for sustainability of community-led environmental sanitation and protection of groundwater self-supply,
3. Integrating Transition Management (TM) process with Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) and the Community-Led Urban Environmental Sanitation (cLUES).
