The Hon. This will be followed by a one-day training workshop in WASH governance on Wednesday, 10th September 2008. WASHCost Project is a global research programme that is being carried out in four countries (Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mozambique and India). The WASHCost Project Ghana is a five-year collaborative research project between KNUST (Kumasi, Ghana) and IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre (Delft, The Netherlands). The aim of WASHCost Ghana is to collect and collate information relating to the real disaggregated unit-costs in the life-cycle of WASH service delivery. The objective is to contribute to the effective and efficient WASH service delivery through the use of unit-cost information. The strategy is to involve decision makers and stakeholders in the whole process within the scope of a ‘Learning Alliance’, and encouraging them to use it in the planning and governance of WASH service delivery.
