National Level Learning Alliance Platform (NLLAP)

The NLLAP is a WASH sector multi stakeholder platform with the overall goal of improving sector learning and dialogue. It is hosted by the Ghana WASH Resource Centre Network (RCN). The platform offers learning and sharing opportunity for sector players as one of the practical approaches to improving sector engagements/sharing with the long term aim of achieving a knowledge driven WASH sector that delivers quality and sustainable services in Ghana. NLLAP meetings are organized and facilitated by the Ghana WASH Resource Centre Network (RCN), and take place on the last Thursday of every month. They are open to all interested parties. The discussions of each NLLAP meeting are summarized and shared with the wider WASH community in the form of a communiqué, named WASH Reflections, after the meeting. NLLAP 43 (Impact Assessment of Consumer Services Committees) . Submitted.

NLLAP 43 took place on Thursday May 22, 2014 at the Erata Hotel in Accra on the theme, “Impact Assessment of Consumer Services Committees: A Case Study of Consumer Perspectives in Ghana”.

NLLAP 42 (WASH in Schools: National Minimum Standards and Implementation Models)

The SHEP-GES, with the support of UNICEF,led the discussions under the chairmanship of Mrs Cynthia Bosumtwi-Sam, Director for Curriculum Research Development Division, GES.“WASH in Schools: National Minimum Standards and Implementation Models” was the topic for this edition of NLLAP. NLLAP 41(The setting up of Low Income Consumer Support Unit (LICSU) in the WASH Sector – A Capacity Building Support to the GWCL)

The Resource Centre Network (RCN) Ghana, in collaboration with the MWRWH/ GWCL organised the 41st edition of the National Learning Alliance Platform meeting under the theme,The setting up of Low Income Consumer Support Unit (LICSU) in the WASH Sector – A Capacity Building Support to the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL).The Ghana Water Company Limited, under the support of Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP) led the discussion,

NLLAP40 (Implementing CLTS in Small Towns: Looking back to inform our way forward)

The Resource Centre Network (RCN) Ghana hosted The NORST Project, implemented under the auspices of Environmental Health and Sanitation Directorate (EHSD) and in collaboration with UNICEF led the discussion, with the objective of sharing the learning experience from the NORST project, which is implementing CLTS in Small Towns in the Northern Region of Ghana. Under the theme " Implementing CLTS in Small Towns: Looking back to inform our way forward".

NLLAP 39 "GOVERNANCE AND TRANSPARENCY FUND (GTF) PROGRAMME EVALUATION AND IMPACT ASSESSMENT IN GHANA" and "DEBRIEFING AND VALIDATION OF GOG-UNICEF GENDER AND WASH ASSESSMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF GENDER MAINSTREAMING GUIDELINES AND TOOLKIT"

The 39th edition of NLLAP  hosted  with EHSD-MLGRD/  UNICEF, under the theme "DEBRIEFING AND VALIDATION OF GOG-UNICEF GENDER AND WASH ASSESSMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF GENDER MAINSTREAMING GUIDELINES AND TOOLKIT" and  WaterAid/ CONIWAS, on the theme "GOVERNANCE AND TRANSPARENCY FUND (GTF) PROGRAMME EVALUATION AND IMPACT ASSESSMENT IN GHANA".this edition took place on the 31st October 2013 at the Coconut Groove Regency Hotel Accra.

NLLAP 38 (Modelling Sanitation Learning Agenda for Evidence-based Bridging of the Policy-Practice Gap in Ghana)

The 38th edition of National Level Learning Alliance Platform hosted the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) together with Water and Sanitation for Africa (WSA),to share on the theme, "Modelling Sanitation Learning Agenda for Evidence-based Bridging of the Policy-Practice Gap in Ghana"

NLLAP 37 (Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan for WASH in Ghana)

The 37th edition of the National Level Learning Alliance Platform (NLLAP) hosted the  Water Directorate of the Ministry of water Resource Works and Housing under the theme

"Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan for WASH in Ghana". The platform also hosted the Water and Sanitation for Africa to launch the GLASS 2012.the event took place at the coconut Groove Regency Hotel Accra,on the 12th of September 2013.

NLLAP 36 (Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) for water security and sustainable national development)

NLLAP 36 hosted the Global Water Partnership on the theme Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) for water security and sustainable national development.the event which attracted over 70 participants took place at the Erata Hotel on the 11th of July 2013.

NLLAP 35 (Gender Mainstreaming: An Assessment of the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Sector in Ghana)

The 35th edition of National Level Learning Alliance Platform,hosted the Ministry of Water Resources Works and Housing (MWRWH) and Plan Consult to share on the theme  Gender Mainstreaming: An Assessment of the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Sector in Ghana.This edition took place on the 27th of June 2013 at the Coconut Groove Regency Hotel Accra.

NLLAP 34 (Community initiatives and impact on WASH services delivery in Ghana: The Community perspective)

The 34th NLLAP hosted CONIWAS and four communities of their operation (Nima,LA,Mallam and Teshie) under the theme Community initiatives and impact on WASH services delivery in Ghana: The Community perspective. This edition of the NLLAP took place at the ERATA Hotel in Accra on 14th June 2013.
